One institution. Three connected workspaces.

The challenge

Membership operations become fragmented when public information, member accounts, resources, events and administration live in separate workflows.

The approach

IFDO connects a bilingual public website with distinct member and administrative workspaces. Membership records, account access and public profile visibility have separate rules, so an imported member record, an active membership and a published directory profile can be managed deliberately.

The work

  • Bilingual public website and member workspace
  • Membership and profile management
  • Public directory, resources and programs
  • Events and administrative workflows
  • Member import and account-access foundations
  • Membership finance review and certificate workflows
  • Email and WhatsApp notification foundations

An institution’s daily work

Public presence.
Member participation. Staff oversight.

Public workspace

Make the institution discoverable.

The Arabic and English website introduces the organization, its activities and resources. The member directory makes published organizational profiles and individual expertise searchable without exposing private account information.

Member workspace

Give membership a practical home.

Members can work with their profile, membership information, resources, programs, events and certificates in one place. Imported membership records can exist before a person claims access, preserving the institution’s existing records during the move online.

Administrative workspace

Support the decisions behind participation.

Staff manage applications, members, finance review, content, events and communications. Activation follows payment confirmation or an administrative finance decision, while certificates and notifications support the resulting membership journey.

A consequential architecture decision

Three records with different responsibilities.

Login account

Who can sign in and manage the record.

Membership

The institution’s relationship with the member, including activation and finance review.

Public profile

What visitors can discover in the directory.

Keeping these responsibilities distinct lets the institution import existing members, grant account access and publish profiles deliberately. Public contact information also remains separate from verified notification recipients.
